Quick, How do I attach this? autoride air compressor

Ok the air tube thing popped off. Need to reattach it to the compressor. But it's not wanting to go back on and I have never seen a clamp like this. Do you need grease or something? Thanks

Looks like you squeeze the round part that is outside the rubber to expand the clamp then when it's where it needs to be you let go and it clamps down.
