I checked everything that one would normally check before deciding my issue was the starter. So I then decided to remove the starter.
Seemed simple enough. Remove the screw from the bellhouse (black plastic) cover and then remove the two bolts for the starter. That was the easy part.
The hard part for me is the reason for this post.
The starter is loose but I can't get it out from under the car. I need to move it about another inch to get it clear so I can remove it. Each way I move it there seems to be something in the way on the other side of the starter that I can't see, let alone access.
Any ideas on how to get it out? I didn't loosen any other parts other than the negative battery cable. I really don't want to take it to the stealership but I may be forced to if I can't get it out.
