It is time for me to replace my shocks on my 01 Tahoe. I have the McGaughy's 3", 5" kit installed. They recommend that you use stock shocks in the front and their shocks in the rear. I have been running this setup 4 yrs. Anyone have better results with any of the aftermarket shocks? I'd like a little smoother ride. My truck always felt like it bottomed out in the rear. Thanks,

You could also run some McGaughys helper bags in the rear so you don't bottom out. I run about 6lbs in mine and don't ever bottom out anymore.

Oh and I run Doetsch Tech Nitro Slammers on all 4 corners..

Word on the doetsch techs, those helper bags are gonna be the softest bumpstop you can find too.
