Suspension question

i have a 3/5 on my yukon right now, i love it but it aggravates me sometimes how it still has slight rake in the back...does anyone know if i can maybe drop the back about another inch somehow?

What all do you have on the rear? Shackles springs and shocks?

Aren't shackles for vehicles with leaf springs? No leaf springs here. I'm on the Pedders drop springs. I love it.

springs and shocks i believe, if it had shackles id run a shackle drop with it

yeah pay no attention to my shackle comment... i was typing to fast to think. I can't think of anything else that you can do to lower it more. I don't think they make a larger spring drop that i know of. You can Always chop the spring if it really really bothered you that much. Also I've heard of heating the entire spring with a welder and when hot enough it was lower, because the weight of the car, but you it might be impossible to get them the same height, and the spring looses some of its stability or something.. my $.02

And dangerous to boot. Doing such a thing could potentially make the spring brittle and prone to cracks. No thanks. Talk about a ghetto way to lower a vehicle!:ktoe:

just a thought, maybe run no shocks for a month will cause it to potentially sag a little bit in the rear...just an idea, might just to it..it needs to be perfectly level for me

Better yet, find a bit of neutron star material to place in the back, you know, because, let's face it, all those sandbags would take up too much room! About 1/2 a teaspoon full should do it and leave plenty of room for luggage!

Neutron stars contain the most dense observable matter in the universe. They cram more than a sun’s worth of material into a city-sized sphere, meaning a few cups of neutron-star stuff would outweigh Mount Everest.
