Tachometer suddenly reads low...

My 2006 5.3 liter Tahoe runs great but sudddenly the tachometer is reading very low. Engine runs great, not difference in performance. The tach just reads very low. Any help here? Thanks.

the stepper motors are notorious for failing in our clusters so send it out to be rebuild and call it good for another 10 yrs lol
