2001 tahoe ls 4x4 5.3l and 155150 miles on it. Had the usual knock sensors problem, after I hit 155k miles my ac compressor had enough and I just had it replace, driver window regulator was just replace, one of the bolts that hold the left rear caliper came loose, and one of the bolts that holds the lower control arm to the chassis came loose also. Other than that I have been rough on it, but she is holding on chevy strong. My wife wants me to trade it, but I don't think so, I love my tahoe.

2003 290k No trouble other than some minor electrical. I am about to venture on replacing all the worn out stuff in the next few months. Starting with the shocks.

2008 @ 89k, so far so good. I put a lot of miles on vehicles, so I'm sure by this time next year, I'll be at least 150k. Keep u guys informed. Love my Hoe!

Just bought a 2000 with 187,000. Had a new tranny put in, new AC compressor last summer, water pump in february. Runs great, doesn't burn a drop of oil. My first Chevy, after having F150s, really like it so far.

This past weekend I picked up a 2001 Tahoe with 202900 on the clock. Got it off a friend and it runs pretty good still. Just need to take care of some minor maintenance and a tune-up but overall I'm extremely happy with the ride and feel of the Tahoe.

This thread screams success with the Tahoes. A real money's worth vehicle. My 03 Tahoe LS has 84, 546 miles today. Here is something that will make you feel good:

(My) 2003 Tahoe 5.3 in excellent condition (like new) 84,546 miles Retail $11,000

(Dealer's) 2008 Tahoe 5.3, looks good shape 71,560 miles His Price: $34,500 (yeah, right)

My savings for driving my (probably better Tahoe) $34,500.

Screw you, Mr Depreciation, and Mr Dealer.

2004 Z71 Tahoe with 136k 3" rcd lift, 35" BFGoodwrench AT, 16" Mickey Thompson Classic rims, Flowmaster 10 series, grill guard. Only problem after I bought her the 4x4 wouldn't engage, the whole instrument panel was off. So I did the simplest thing I knew and unplugged the negative battery terminal and everything seems to be working fine now, which is good we just got a icy storm and I needed the 4x4. I love this HOE, I can't wait to take it to the mountains and find some trails.

'04 Z71 4x4

75,000 miles

TONS of problems: "Service 4WD," AC blowing hot, shifted into neutral by itself a few times, had to have the gear changer replaced, leaks, etc.

Great truck and I love it, but it has had a load of problems.

have you fixed your "service 4wd" yet? I am having that prob on my 03 Z71...I have had the car 4 weeks running about 96k on odometer. I am wondering what is going on and how much that will run me...w winter coming up im gonna need 4wd

185k on my 2000 LT. It's a highway baby and the only issue has been fuel and water pump last year. Now I'm getting the intermittent ABS/Brake light warning that goes away with a restart.

I just had the same exact problem, turns out the sensor on my TC went out. Cost me nothing because I just recently purchased the truck. Total bill came to $367, the part was $291.. hope that helps...
