Traction Control

I have a 2010 real wheel drive Tahoe. I'm moving from FL to Denver and my wife is concerned with the snow. Do you all think the traction control will help at all in the snow, or do I need to sell this one for a rear wheel drive one?

My Brother just moved from Denver to Pensacola, they do a good job of snow management up there, he almost never had any trouble......
