transmission issue

Recently my truck has started a weird issue. Every once in a while when we shift the trans into gear either forward or reverse it wont go into gear. We have to shift to park and back again to make it work. any advice would be great

You should bring your car at the nearest mechanic and let them check your gear box. I have asked my friend about your problem and he said you need an overhaul.
