True Flow XDI Intake

Has anyone heard or tried the True Flow XDI intakes? I've asked this in a previous thread but no luck. Hopefully I'll have some luck here. My buddy swears by these intakes but I'd like other opinions as well.

I myself do not have the XDI, but rather the sealed air intake (SAI). From what I understand if you are just looking to add an aftermarket AIT without really modifiying the engine than the SAI (which uses the stock box) should suffice. Otherwise the XDI is your best bet. Like I said, although I do not have the XDI I am very happy with the performance improvements of the SAI teamed with my magnaflow muffler, granted it is mostly a butt dino assessment I like how it feels and sounds.

True-FLow XDI install on 07 Tahoe

I recently added an XDI to my Tahoe and it is a bit different and works really well as far as a CAI system. There have been some research I saw on line where people were testing the air temp on factory air boxes and found them to be just as good or if not better than your after market air boxes. Temp changes while at idle and while moving. I have a silverado and replaced the air tube with a straight airaid MIT(Modular intake tube) and a trueflow filter and kept the factory airbox. My Tahoe change in intake was for more bling.:cool2:

i am in the market for an intake system. what have you noticed with gas mileage? and what does that cost?

Sorry, this took too long to answer, but I bought the XDI for my 07 Tahoe at www.truckcustomizers.com for 287.20 shipped. Everywhere else I looked was more than 330.00

Well, I just went to their website and they have them for 339.00. I must have bought it on sale in Oct 07.
