So im trying to figure out what exactly I will need to finish my stereo install. I have an 01 tahoe with the factory sub and on star. It is factory amplified ( this much i know because nothing worked with the aftermarket HU). There are no bose icons on any speaker grills. I have upgraded all the speakers and the sub they sound greatish with the limited function of the factory hu. I am trying however to install a kenwood double din HU. It works but i have no sound. Since im not exactly sure what factory system the rig has i don't know what adapters i need to retain the factory amp and on star ( for now ill upgrade later on). Any insight or experience with this and what adapters i will need to adapt the kenwood HU?
