Just pick up a 1997 Yukon. I will be using it for towing a camper and driving on the beach.
I got some questions, hopefully you guys can help me.
The front air dam, is it there for looks, or does it actually do something?
What is the part numbers for the transmission and transfer case?
I have read on this forum the biggest tire without a lift, on a stock rim is
285/75/16. But on a web site that has a tire calculator, it says that a 8"-9"
rim is needed. Has anybody actually used a 285 tire on a stock rim?
Thanks for all your help
Steve

You picked the perfect vehicle for what you plan on doing. and btw welcome to the forum. :cool2:

the front air dam is there to help air flow properly to the engine. you can take it off for off roading but dont leave it off.
