    FS Front hub

I just sold the truck and have one leftover hub that I never got around to changing. The hub is a GM part (not some third party brand that wear out after light use - ask me how I know!) brand new in the box never opened. This fit my 2003 Z71 but don't know if it will fit your truck. GM part...

    Rear shock removal help!!!!

I did it without dropping the spare. Just put an extension on the socket, and you'll be OK. The fuel stuff is a little in the way, but it's not a bad job still.

Aeroforce Interceptor Gauge - Very Slick!

You guys are right. Yes, I could have modified the current gauge cluster to include a trans temp. The total cost came to around $160 + my time (and of course some risk of something else going wrong). I could also mount an Autometer temp gauge on the trans fluid output, and it would be a more...

Is the rotor a larger diameter? If so, how much? Looks slick

Aeroforce Interceptor Gauge - Very Slick!

I'll start by saying this - I use my Tahoe to pull my car trailer, so I've wanted a trans temp gauge for a while. I realize that this is most likey a pan temp, but it's better then nothing. With that being said, if you haven't seen the Aeroforce Interceptor gauge, it's super slick! Here's...

    1999 Tahoe brake issues

Just re-read your first post. Do you know if the booster is good? You might have a leak in the booster and it's not giving you any assist. This would give you the firm, but low, brake pedel feeling. The easy way to test is to pull a vacuum on the boost and wait to see if it leaks. If it...

    1999 Tahoe brake issues

If you pump up the brakes, does it change? If so, you still have air in the system. If not, I suspect you're getting blow by in your master cylinder. Maybe replace that and rebleed the whole system...

HELP bleeding brakes on 04 Tahoe

I did mine with the wife pushing the peddle - no problem. I had one frozen bleeder which I decided not to mess with. 2qts of dot 4 brake fluid later, it was clean. The pressure bleeder shouldn't be an issue as long as you keep the pressure low.

    1999 Tahoe brake issues

If you have air in the system, you'll be able to pump up the brakes. If you can't, then I suspect there's no air and the problem is elsewhere

    Transfer Case Encoder Replacement

A few months ago, my 03 Tahoe started giving me the 'Service 4WD' errors. Restart, and they went away, but I knew I had to address them at some point. The dealer wanted $85 to pull the codes, and wouldn't budge from it (no wonder GM is in trouble!) I got a guy to pull the codes, but he only...

    Transfer case encoder motor installation?

A little late, but hope it helps. I'll be doing the same service very soon http://z71tahoe-suburban.com/iboard/index.php?showtopic=17739&hl=

    Grease Zerks

Not that I've found. There are 11 on the front that you should look for. Ball joints, tie rods, and steering system

    Grease Zerks

Thanks! I saw the grease zerks on the cats, so I'll be sure to give them a shot too. But first I'm off the change the headlight fluid

    Grease Zerks

JennaBear - Thanks for the link, but I think the PDF file that many of the posts were referring to is gone. At least I don't see it. I even signed up for an ID thinking it was for members only.

    Grease Zerks

I searched around, but couldn't find anything. I'm trying to figure out how many grease zerks/fittings there are and where. Can someone share? So far I've found the uppper and lower ball joints, tie rod end, and the ends of the steering intermediate shaft. Am I missing any? Also...

    Which shocks to buy?

I JUST installed the Bilsteins yesterday and was amazed at the difference and my truck only has 64K miles. But the old shocks were totally gone. There are two PN for the rear. I don't know the difference but look at the Bilstein web site. They both were OK to use
