A test light shows that I do not have 12-volts at the 7-pin connector plug at the hitch. Has anyone run the wire from the fuse under the hood to the hitch? If so, what was involved?

--2008. I think on the newer models the center pin that used to be the 12-volt is now for the b/u lights and/or the beeping sound when backing up.

The center pin on mine is used for reverse lights... You could always check the connections inside the 7 pin connection.

yep, that's the one!

Got here too late! That would be the correct answer, Mary. With the Tow Package option, the 40a fuse is already in. All I had to do was find and hook up my power and brake contoller lines to the posts. And wire my controller, of course. Glad you found the solution!
