I took mine off today only to find it looks like ASS underneath it! So here are my options:

Paint it the gold white to match and put it back on.

Order a billet/chrome one. Anyone know of a site that has these?

Take the rear piece off and have it sanded/filled in and painted.

What do you think? If any of these options have been done please post pics.

I actually found it here on a search.....Just like everyone, I am lazy! So I was digging around and found it. I just did it to mine and it looks great. I may still want to go with the clean denali look though of nothing on there like this:

I bought a Denali one with camera really cheap off a forum member. It had minor scratches but I had it resprayed since I was getting other stuff done at the time.

Piss me off when I compared the stock Tahoe one to the Denali one because the Tahoe one has nice curves to it. The Denali one is more square. Wish I took my Tahoe one off to have filled and sprayed and then add the camera to it.

I actually like the look of the Tahoe one as well. Maybe I will just have that one filled and sprayed.

This is my Tahoe. The rear gold portion is held on with a small amount of white, rubbery adhesive which when warm, cuts easily with a credit card, dental floss, or monofilament fishing line.
All I did was remove the gold portion and wipe the glue off.

Did you do anything with the front emblem? Do you know if it is as easily removable as the rear?

the rear is a lot easier... its only held on by a piece of double sided tape other then that it just take a lil force to pull it off.

I think he means can you remove the gold off the front like you can the back without removing the whole emblem.

So, the rear emblem can be removed easily? The hairdryer and dental floss removal? I just ordered some chrome handle cover things for the rear lift gate (sort of like the Escalade); I don't think the bowtie will go back on.

I used a credit card and the sun. The small amount of adhesive is pretty soft when it is warm.

Um, I want to take the entire thing off. "No-tie." :D

There will be 2 holes behind it and it will look like ****. I was going to remove the plastic part and have it filled and painted for that clean denali look.
