My 2004 Tahoe has the same problem, drivers side will all of a sudden start blowing hot while the passenger side is still cold air. Turning off the ignition and restarting is the only way to get it to go back to normal. It doesnt matter if I have been on a long trip or been driving 5 minutes...

Wish I could help you but I dont remember, should be a piece of cake to find when you go in and tell the guy what you need.

Finally got around to doing mine today. Thats what it was, "blower motor resistor", easy to get to and replace. Best part was it was only $51.49 with tax for the AC Delco one. They had a cheap version for $23 but it wasnt a direct bolt in, you had to find a way to bolt it to the housing.

I already found the answer to my question, I forgot I had posted this. Its an 8.5 ring and pinion. I know that I have to fix the speedo, I have hp tuners for that. Thanks anyway.........

I have a 2004 Tahoe 4.8 L automatic and was wondering what size the ring and pinion gears are? I thought the rear end was supposed to be a 10 bolt, 8.6, 30 spline axles? I already know I have 3.42 gears and wanted to buy 3.73 or 4.10 but just not sure what size the ring and pinion is before I...
