ya i understand that... I have an OBD II scanner and know how the concept works but these changes in tuning aren't locked correct? as in only the hypertech plug can return the settings to stock?

Anyone know a specific tuner for NBS tahoe? I know plenty in the area for LS1 engines and probably will be asking them of what their services can offer or if they have recommendations. Although figured I would ask here first.

is this something that is locked or can it be disabled? what software is normally used for these engines? hptuners? efi?

When someone says they have a chip installed where is this chip placed? Is it basically an amp that is pluged into the PCM/ECU ??? Are any of these even beneficial? I'm currently looking at one and it says it has a Hypertech Power Programer lll and I've always been skeptical of things like...

Are the factory running boards easy to remove? Or are they rivited/bracketed into the panels? Anyone ever take these off before and how was the removal?

Is there not a section for Tahoe's for sale? Is there a reasoning for this that I'm missing? There's a "General Classifieds" section but no way to post and list a vehicle.

What year GMT400 platforms should I stay away from? What years were recommended and why? Seems the '96 was a good year. Will be looking for a 4-Door 4x4 LT.

I understand it was introduced starting with the '98 models. Is it an option for those models or was it on every single model from '98 and up?
