solid axle would look nice up front. but I just changed everything short of bushings up there. Father in law had a set of D44s a while back.. figured my rig was in better shape they were off a 68 or something wagoneer.

I bought some blocks off amazon and some u-bolts from 6states. I looked at the linkage, I need to get on that.

Ball joints had about 1/4 inch of play. Got a full refund.

The upper ball joints were done in about an hour and a half. The Idler arm was a huge pain spent a few hours on that. I remember the pitman I did last year being much easier. moog everything, now hopefully I wont have to worry anymore on this damn near 20 year old rig.

So last year I had to buy all 4 ball joints to pass safety. As a precaution I got pit man arm and idler arm and bracket. They were out of stock of the in house brand so I opted for the Moog upgrade on the lower... I wish I spend the extra 20-30 bucks to upgrade all 4 because they are bad...

I would guess bad head gasket, I have done this about 3 or 4 times in my life. Once on one of my first cars and a few times for friends. Relatively easy fix if you have all weekend to do it, but the engine is never the same after a repair like that. The mileage seems way too low for a problem...

There is a little button next to where you turn your head lights on that sets the dome light for doors open or not. Have you checked that?
