Hey folks! Been a while since I was last active here, but here goes:
2001 Tahoe 5.3 LT Front & rear heat. Front heat blows cool unless under throttle. Changed the thermostat, new coolant, same results. Removed the Blend door actuator and moved the door to hot and cold manually, Heat still...
Nice setup! Awesome to see you rockin the Fosgate! I have an older Power 1000BD amp that still pushes clean power just like the day I bought it over 8+ years ago! Pushing a Power HX2 12 in a ported box. No alternator upgrade (yet) but I cant go past half volume without dimming/power draw...
Not sure if you resolved this yet but what does the other side of the light look like? possibly a broken clip on the other side that is supposed to hold it in? I would use JB weld and build up the clip a bit so that it will hold again and just pop it back in once its dried. :)
Not 100% on the 06's but on my 01 I have had a similar issue. My mirrors are manual close and open and when I closed it one night, it seemed like something let go within the mirror itself. After doing some research, I found that the clip and spring inside of the mirror's housing let loose. You...
Purchased my 01 LT 5.3 4WD with a little more mileage on it than the OP's and so far it needed front axle seals, backing plates, rear diff gasket, & valve cover gaskets. Other than that, normal maintenance.
Im having the same issue with my 2001 LT. Im trying to figure it out. I believe it could still be the Mix Door/Blend Door because when I cycle from cold to hot a few times, it seems that it gets a little warmer, especially when driving. Rear heat is hot. Hoping to pinpoint the issue this...
Can you post the model number of the HID kit so that others can research it for you? Not sure how a HID kit is wired up and whats involved but maybe theres a wire crossed somewhere or it simply doesnt like the new setup.
Tie rods would result in uneven tread wear...Bushings can be visually inspected for wear and tear or cracks but not sure if they would clunk when turning.
When you say paired I assume your talking about bluetooth? As far as I know you cant, but I believe there may be an app or something you can use to do so.
Head gasket = Coolant burned out the tailpipe and lots of smoke
Intake Gasket = Coolant in the oil
I tend to side on the IAC as well. Happened to my other GM vehicle.
Pink? Your remote turn on is pink in color? Thats odd...I have the same year make as the OP and mine was blue. Hooked it up and was good to go.
Ill have to look this up in my FSM.
Some people have their opinions on the NGK but if I were to change the plugs, I would stick with AC Delco. Unless I was adding performance parts, tuning etc...would I go with different plugs.
Hey there. Sorry your having issues with your system.
Was the distortion present after install or did it happen all of a sudden? Also is there a frequency select switch on the actual modulator? What type of Modulator are you using?
I agree on the 5W30 and AC-Delco also if you can swing the extra, go with Mobil ! Full Synthetic. Does your engine good.
For the blutooth, heres a link to a harness for GM Vehicles for $20
