Mine was an 07 Denali. You can't really see the foam at first glace - quite honestly, I didn't even know it was on the handle at the pin location. The service guy test drove it, heard the wind noise, adn found a bulletin that talked about the foam piece. They said that wind would get inside...
Is it a high pitched noise? I had them test everything, even a dollar bill. Nothing worked until they found foam missing around the pin on the door handle. It always sounded like my window was slightly cracked open, and noticed additional noise as well when the fan blew on high. Once they...
No, just those. Udpated software on a disc? Don't you have to have it programmed at the dealer? I have the 08 disc, the 09 discs are on backorder from what I understand. If it is updated, what is different on the software?
I had excessive moisture in one of my Yukon 07 headlights. I took it to the dealer. The service agent had to bring in the service manager to see if the moisture level was acceptable for a swap. After seeing it and seeing that the moisture was impeading the headlight beam, they put a new one...
I have an OEM Navigation head unit in my 07 denali, but no RSE, so the nav does not have the DVD playing capability. My question is this: if you install a lockpick to enable the ability to hook up video, will it play on this headunit? Or do you have to have the DVD head unit to play video...
Do you notice the high wind noise when your fan blower is on high as well? I did, and took it in. They found there was a piece of foam missing around the pin on the outside door handle. Wind would get in and whirl inside the door and create a high whine. This solved my problem. They checked...
Just an FYI...the Denali gauges were only like that for the 2007 model year. Every model level Tahoe and Yukon now have the same gauges. I have an 07, and personally like the special cluster.
Will the exterior mirrors on an Escalade fit on a Denali? The chrome caps you can buy on ebay only cover the bottom of the mirror, yet the housing arm is still black, unlike the Escalade which has chrome. I searched and couldn't find anything on this. I thought I remembered seeing a post way...
I used the Maguiar's clay bar detailing kit as mentioned in another post. This worked liked a charm. Also got out other spots as well. Just be prepared for some hard work, but it is worth it. Kit is $13 I believe at Autozone.
Mine was going on and off intermittenly, so I took it in. They found that one of the sensors was bad, hence it working sometimes and not others, or just telling me while I was driving.
It's about a half day worth of work...if the sensor is bad, they have to have a new one painted to match...
Fix
See my post I linked below. I had the windnoise and the dealer found the fix...it has to do with the door handle, not the pillar. Hope this helps you.

Dealer replaced mine when they fixed my wind noise. It is covered under warranty, so replace it. Service guy also said you have to be careful not to slice your hand open as that microfoil is pretty sturdy.
For piece of mind I would take it in. It is a 15 minute fix.
UPDATE -
I took the advice here and went to another dealer. They deemed that there was "sufficient moisture" to warrant an entire replacement. They ordered a new one today.
But on that note - they did see one like this yesterday, but not as much moisture. They do have a standard of...
I washed the car on Friday and noticed on Saturday there was condensation inside the headlamp unit. The dealer told me to just bring it in when the bulb craps out adn they'll give me a new headlamp assembly.
My question is this: Is there a way to dry it out in the meantime? Using a blow...
I have an early 07 denali. After reading threads in here and in the Cadallica forum, took it to the dealer today.
I had noise on the driver door and when the a/c-heat fan blew on high.
It is NOT the door sealer or the mirror.
They found the driver's side door handle was missing a...
Wind noise
Does anyone else notice that in addition to getting the wind hitting the seal in the right direction, that most of that noise happens when your heat or a/c is blowing on hi. It seems like some of my whistle vanishes if I turn auto off or just turn it off all together. I still can't...
