2005 was my second Tahoe, it was a great truck except for the usual steering shaft problem. Traded it with 65,000 miles for my 2010 and then traded the 2010 a few weeks ago for a 2010 Escalade. Good luck with the truck!

Yes, it has the 145 AMP alternator. I was able to make out the smudged numbers on th old belt and matched them up at the parts store. Took maybe ten minutes to change both belts.

I am looking to replace the belt on my 05 Tahoe LT but I need to know if it has the 145 AMP alternator or the 105 AMP. I can't find the window sticker and I don't see anything on the alternator itself. I also don't see anything in the owners manual. Since this truck has Nav, sun roof...

My 05 Tahoe engine light won't go off after I got the tighten fuel cap message. I have since replaced the cap and reset the light. Still comes back on. Could this be a vapor canister issue? If so, is there a purge valve on it or should I just replace it? My ECM scan always shows the fuel...

I found these front shocks which are genuine GM but much cheaper than the dealer. http://www.arnottindustries.com/part_CHEVROLET_Air_Suspension_Parts_yid11_pid92.html I wouldn't replace them with just standard shocks.

Question: If the outside mirror glass has Defrost and LED turn signal does it include the auto dimming feature? I am looking for a replacement mirror for my driver side 05. I found one on ebay that says LED and defrost. Seller does not know about auto dimming. Any ideas? I think it does...
