Im looking at a set of 24's for $1100 bux with tires but the tires are 315/35/24's. Anyone run this big of tire on a stock tahoe? Would it work? My neighbor has a set of 295/40/24's with like a 6" lip and it barely rubs at full lock. I measured from the lip of the rim to the face of the wheel and it was 4". So would these be the +13 or +32 U-2 55's.

The tires have a few months use out of them so I offered him $1,000 but told him I had to think about it! LOL .....the guy had a 06 GMC Sierra and said it rubbed on the drivers side....then again his looked low compared to most sierra's. Sits lower than the tahoe thats for sure! Help is great guys! Thanks!

bro i am running 295/35/24s on my 01 at standard height. My rim guy told me that anything bigger than 295/35s on a 24 would have the potential rub and at $280 a piece why run that risk? I would look elsewhere for rims and tires. you can find a good deal with a BETTER fit for your truck if you are patient.
here is the latest thread on my truck. its on my old user name because I forgot my old password. http://www.tahoeforum.com/showthread.php?t=9397

Im running 305/45/22 stock without rubbing at all..only time I do rub is when I try jumping the Denali..

295/40/24s will be safe...and remember, they will say that to cover their own ass when selling tires/rims so you dont go back to them saying "you told me it would work..now you have to pay to repair my vehicle" Guy I work with is running 24s on his Denali stock and he only rubs when cranking the wheel while driving over a curb. Dont worry bout it bro..you'll be fine...most that will happen is you will rub the plastic once in a while

305/35R24 is what it calls for if you have a little rubbing which you should not at all just trim it off. I would at the best wheel and tire shop in Alaska and we do this all the time no issues but also depends on the offset of the wheel.
