03 yukon spare tire wheel size

Hello all. My spare tire wheel is so rusty that I don't trust it! I've been told that the wheel is a special size so that it fits the space back under the car. I've tried to search for this part and can't come up with anything. First of all, is this true? And second, if it is, where can I find just the wheel, because the tire looks new?

My 2003 Yukon XL has a regular rim and full size spare. I expect that your standard rims and original tire size will fit, also. You could always test it by taking off one of your wheels and trying to put it on the spare tire holder. As for the tire looking new, the rubber could still be old and could fail easily. I would recommend getting a newer used tire from a tire store and an original size rim, if not one that matches your others if you do not have an original rim.
