My truck actually gets about the same. 17-18hwy, 15-16 city driving.

Edit - forgot to mention 20" wheels w/ 275/45 tires.

Then why'd you buy a v8 suv? I'm not trying to be a dick, just kinda surprised so many people are worried about fuel mileage in relation to the type of vehicle they drive. Cool thing about these trucks is most of the modifications we do to them will improve mileage, even switching to a smaller sidewall tire with less rolling resistance and higher psi will help economy as much as an exhaust or intake. I'd run as much psi as you can comfortably because I've noticed a drop of almost 1mpg when I run 36psi in my tires as opposed to 44. What kind of tires are you looking to buy for the 20's/22's? Braking performance will be effected more with the 22 then the 20 with a bigger tire, I'd stick to the 20 if you're chill with not being such a baller.

Nothing wrong with trying to get extra MPG out of what you drive, no matter if it is a 4 or 8 banger, and also there is nothing wrong with asking others what they have done to successfully gain a MPG here and there. I bought a V8 knowing perfectly well that it wasn't going to be known as a "fuel efficient" rig, but if I can gain a little extra out of it without spending a ton, I am going to ask before I just go out and do it. To each his own!!!

boost it does suck a bit with $4 gas and i know you know that. without these prices i know you would be close to getting your turbo stuff done to your denali. everyone is about getting better MPG, thats why i did my mods because i love my tahoe, it has been my dream truck and will continue to be for many years to come, even if that means me only driving it 2 times a week to work. be nice, lol!

I'm just gonna buy a ktm supermoto and a civic hatch. I'll make it acceptable for a honda but the main thing is the car will be twice as efficient as the jeep or the denali. Until I figure out a way to make e85 for cheap I'm in the same boat as everyone else and it sucks ass.

I dropped from about 15mpg to 12 when I put on my wheels. Back up to about 14-15 with my mods (cai, elec fans, exhaust). Gas prices suck these days. I spend almost $200/wk in gas now.

good luck w/ the bike discussion... Definitely will save some $$ when you ride instead of drive.. I've got a few bikes of my own. If I'm not riding, I'm driving my Bimmer. I tend to only drive the TBSS and the Tahoe once or twice a week now. It's a bonus when I do drive it 'em though...

wouldnt recomend the busa for your first bike, like at all, stick with something like a 600 or a 750, IMO
