2001 Tahoe 5.3L Oil Pressure switch, need o-ring?

Can anyone tell me if the oil pressure sensor behind the intake near the firewall needs a o-ring? The part number is acdelco d1818a. It does not say in the description if it need the o-ring or not.........Thanks!

No, use Teflon tape but only a couple of wraps. Did you clean the filter Screen that's below the sending unit. Visit web site " How to replace the oil pressure sending unit" on your vehicle.
