Probably one of the easist and least expensive mods you can do quickly.

Note I have BFGs 285/55/20s with 2" leveling kit shown (and before my 1" rear lift). No rubbing.

Front and Rear wheel closeups. Note for running boards, there is a separate part number for the fronts to accommodate them.

Here's some splash guard info for you!

Yep, I've got 'em too on my GMC. They're extremely effective at keeping the crud off the side of your vehicle, and I personally like the look...

I got mine through www.oehq.com (free shipping on orders over $100 deal). The pre-painted front set was like $58, and the rear was like $65 or something like that. Yes, they're GM accessories... Here's a link to the part numbers (if the part numbers for your color code aren't listed, call your dealer). Tahoe parts link is here, and I don't think they're any different than the GMC ones. There's a part number lookup tool on www.oehq.com that you can use to get descriptions, but they can be pretty generic...

The Stealth Gray part numbers are:
1) Front: 19165826
2) Rear: 17800470

Here's a note on installation over here. Here's some recent pics of my truck over here (with new tails and exhaust tip), but you can clearly see how the splash guards look...

Thanks, having a photobucket account with lots of previous photos is pretty handy for times like this!

It's not a bad idea to put some 3M tape down under these. They will rub the paint!

The 3M tape idea is a good one. I like the look but the mud flaps can cause as much paint damage as what you're trying to avoid. Were did you find your 3M tape that you installed under the flaps, that is a good idea to prevent mud flap damage

I got mine from a local body shop. How can 3M tape cause damage? They definitely prevent the hard edge from wearing thru the paint though.

I installed them a few weeks ago on my wifes Tahoe and they look great. Very effective at keeping the crud off of the sides. I got the molded black plastic ones like Snomon did.
Highly recommended.

LOL.. I'm talking about the mud flaps without using anything to protect the paint behind them, due to the edge damaging the paint. The 3M Tape I think is the ticket to protect the paint from damage. I was referring to the flaps not the 3M tape idea

Can someone be more specific about the 3M tape - what kind are we looking for? Don't want to look like an idiot when asking for it cuz I know there is double sided stuff but I'm sure what your talking about is different. TIA.

It is a large sheet of tape. It is about as thin as scotch tape but more pliable. It looks a little hazy on the backer (backer is white with 3M all over the back) when you apply it and press it in, it disappears. Mine was cut from a larger Roll or sheet but it was 11X14 or so.

mud flaps

I have the electric running boards on our Tahoe and could not find anyone who sold a set to fit this model so i bought the stock GM one's for 50 bucks and slid the frt one up until the running brd just slide past the hump in the flap. they seem to work good at keeping the rock chips down.

I take it you bought the contoured version and not the molded version. The molded can only be installed in one spot.

How about some pics.

Yes they are the GM flat type. I wish GM would have contured the frt of the electric running boards so i could have used the molded ones. I even thought about cutting off the frt end and reshaping them but decided against doing that because of the way they are made. I will take some photos and post them today.

I was wondering of there was room for the molded ones designed for those without running boards. They are smooth towards the rear (no cut outs for our fixed boards to fit)

compatibility with Z71

Does anyone know if these mud flaps will work with the Z71 fender flares? Or is there a special flap made just for them?

I just got these off ebay - came from a Chevy dealer - first ones that I have seen that said they could work with the running boards and fender flares on the Z71s. He does say in his ad that you will have to use flats for the front. I have yet to install these rears yet, plus the fact we are in the middle of a snowstorm - may have to wait for this weekend or later. Will post pics when done.

Different from below because of the Z71 flares and Z71 running boards.
