I am hearing a clunking from my front drivers side tire. It happened a couple months ago after I hit a couple ruts really hard. At first it was really only when I hit bumps in the road did I hear the sound. But now it seems it does it for really small or somewhat insignificant bumps. My CV boots are not torn at all and all pieces of suspension are lubed and in place. No brackets are broke. The only thing I could see messed up was my bump stop was jacked up. I know I am not bottoming out on such little bumps, so I am at a loss as to what could be wrong. The only thing I can think of is internal damage to the shock. What do you all think?

Jack up the front end.. and see if you can take your front tire and move it up and down just with your hands... then you will know if it is the shock or not.. my front end pops when in 4x4.. its just the cv axle tho...

I had a bolt loosen on my front shock before and it made a similar sound in the same driving conditions. Try tightening the bolts that hold the shock. Hopefully a free fix!

Hey thanks for the reply, Ya I checked it today after work. I had someone rock the truck while I was underneath to try and locate the sound. it was actually coming from the crossmember for where the torsion bars connect near the middle of the vehicle. I figure I just need to tighten the bolts up real quick and I should be good to go!........hopefully, lol.

--- I can tell you this, my Rear Sway bar end link bolt came out once, and it Popped Like you wouldn't belive! - check the front sway bar.. if it broke, or the bolt came out.. that would cause it to pop
