battery gauge

Hey guys I'm looking at a tahoe and the battery gauge is flopped over all the way past 19 its an 03 tahoe lt
any suggestions ideas?

Needs to have the IPC replaced.. if your doing it yourself you need to get the IPC part # off it so you need to remove it and there is a 8 diget part # on a white sticker then you need to order it from the dealer make sure you tell them to have the company that they subletto to have the miles programed into it so your going to need to provide the mileage along with the part #

Is it something that needs to be replaces or can go for a while...

You can go for a while if theres a failure in the changing system the battery light will illuminate and I will also display to check changing system on DIC if theres a problem in that area

Mine just started to do the same yesterday, how did you make out with your fix ?
