i was lookin around at different stuff for the truck when i found this, i was previously looking to swap my truck from SFI to the new MFI. i was wondering if anyone eles has seen this also, i have already had to change out my intake manifold gaskets cause of a coolent leak, and i know there are only 4 bolts in the far front and four in the far back to hold our intake manifolds down and this one is set up just like that for the vortex heads, does this look like a good possibiblity for the truck?

You will notice in the fine print that the summit intake requires a stand alone computer or a computer that can be used with these sensors and injectors.

I have gone to a different computer to run my injectors, but I don't think that is what you are looking for. The cost goes up quickly. If you can use your existing OBD-2, be sure you have the correct impedence injectors. :)

It comes with a distributorless ignition too, neat, but at $1400 and having to get an aftermarket custom pcm and harness I'd rather go for a 5.3 or 6.0 with pcm that already has that good stuff from craigslist for way less $$.

also that thing's way tall, maybe need a cowl induction hood and it looks like its be hard running ducting to an airbox, connects right to the front and would need to go very close to the alt, fan and shroud.

If your truck is a 96-00 vortec truck then your PCM will be able to control the injectors with the correct injector constant the tune. You'll need to get pigtails for the injectors and splice into the stock wiring. You'll also be able to retain all of the stock sensors except for the EGR with the ramjet manifold. Just get the bare manifold, injectors, fuel rails and throttle (I believe you can use the ls1 throttle with this manifold).

Bare manifold:

Info able the marine intake but is a great source of knowledge for doing a swap on the vortec trucks with any mpfi manifold:

Info about swapping the 411 PCM (not needed, the black box PCM can do the same things) and pics of a twin turbo ramjet setup:

I'm running the mercruiser vortec manifold with external injectors and still using the stock PCM (tuned of coarse).
