Hey folks!
Driving down the road once, my 05 Tahoe just totally disengaged gear, throwing me into what felt like neutral.. I pulled over and allowed the engine to cool. It drove for an 8th of a mile and did the same thing.
I finally got it home and if I shift into gear from a cold start, it would appear to be fine until it reaches operating temperature, then it would go back into neutral.
Amy ideas what I could be dealing with?
I've changed the 4wd actuator, the selector switch AND the 1&2, as well as the 2&3 shift solenoids and it's still doing it.
(a little background: I had the transmission rebuilt 2yrs ago. About a month ago, the hose from the radiator blew off and I lost all transmission fluid, but the mechanic said he didn't think it caused problems with the transmission)
