was wondering if any of you have purchased any of the gm aftermarket stuff? the exhaust looks pretty decent but also pricey!

didnt know how it fully looked or sounded... i want to put some sort of exhaust with dual tips but dont want it loud

had a 98 hoe and had straight pipes (no cat, nothing!:umn: ) with 3 1/2 pipes on either side... but that was loud!

i just want something to sound good but not drown out the stereo or really hear it from the inside at all...

i could use some performance parts too! was also thinking about CIA or the sort what yall recommend?

also about to get a leveling kit and some BFG AT's to make everything all pretty...:smilielol:

oh yeah and she got her first oil change today! sorry no pics :smilielol: :smilielol:

thanks for your opinions!

Some say it's a Corsa system, and I've also heard that there's two systems (each with touring and sport) where one is GM and one is either Corsa or Borla. I'm confused, and would like to know the answer to this too.

Corsa has the two different levels, touring and sport. Borla only has one.

Both Borla and Corsa exhausts are recognized by GM as OEM equivelant systems.

okay, so what are you getting when you get it from the dealer, or what all is available from them?

There's a member on this forum that has GM aftermarker performance stuff - CAI and exhaust - on his Tahoe. I can not think of who it is at the present. As soon as I do, I will post up. Or that member themselves will chime in.

I'm also interested in the GM exhaust but like anything else you get at the stealership it's expensive and the description is minimal. Anybody know a web site where you can hear it or learn a little more about it?

I think the GM aftermarket products are over-priced. There are other brands of aftermarket parts that are just as good and arguably better than the GM stuff.

I won't argue your point on price, quality with gm vs others. JD asked for some sound clips, and that's the only place i've found them. But since joining this forum, and reading what some guys pay for exhaust systems, I don't think gm's is outa wack too much...just my opinion, which in the big picture of things.... is worthless.
