I had the master cylinder and booster replaced a few years ago in my 97 Hoe, and ever since, the braking has been ok in normal operation, BUT, when I need to stop in an emergency, I have to really STAND on the pedal to get the brakes engaged quickly. Bad booster, or typical hoe problem?

Just replace my master cyl on my 99 Yukon with Dorman.
Could not believe the difference, here's link that may help.
