Hello,

I am buying a MTX Thunderform amplified for my 04 tahoe and it says it comes with the necessary wiring, but as i understand i need a "line out converter"? Anything else I need? I'd like to attempt this myself so any advice would also be appreciated!

With this kit, you do not need a converter.

It comes with a pair of RCA wires. One side of the wire is RCA that you plug into the built in amp, and the other side you connect to the stock output wires of the stock subwoofer system.

I hooked it up at the amp, underneath the center console. I circled where I entered the carpet, after running it underneath the driver's seat, and I circled where I made the connection.

You can also find the wires underneath the cupholders, but I found I found it easier and more roomy to work at the amp.

You are just hooking up:

1. pair of RCA's at the amps like shown above
2. fused 10 ga wire, preferably at the underhood fuse box at one of the 12V posts
3. ground
4. optional electronic bass control knob, that controls the gain on the internal amp.
