How to lift 01tahoe w/Autoride?

I have an 2001 Tahoe with autoride and want to make it more off road worthy. When I talk to places like 4wheelparts and tell them what I want to do they look at me like I am crazy, and tell me that they don't want to do the lift because of the Autoride suspension. I would like to completly disable the AR and replace with good aftermarket equipment. I would appreciate your advise and expertise in how I can get this tahoe lifted like 5 inches all around.
