Intake pipe size

When selecting the size for an intake pipe on a 5.3L engine, would you choose a 3.5" pipe, or a 4" pipe? I had always assumed that bigger was better, but I'm not sure on this one.

Would too big a pipe (4") create any intake air velocity issues, or would it be ok?

4'' pipe will work it will be tight fit but it will work thats what I used and works perfect with no issues!

4" is tight but it will fit, you may have to trim back the cooling fan housing a tiny bit.
