While sitting in the truck I decided to look at vanity light for replacement with LEDS. Checked the size and reinstalled, now the vanity lights don't work. Here's the strange part, the dome lights work when the door opens, but I'm unable to turn them on with the pushbutton switch. Seem to me it can't be the fuse if the dome lights come with door opening, but now I can't turn them on manually. Tried the dome override but no help either. Any ideas ?

Thanks

Leds are polarized, so they have to be powered properly with positive on one side and negative on the other. It might be possible that they were installed backwards. I'd double check and try switching them around and see if that helps any.

I wasn't clear in my post. I never replaced the vanity lites with the LEDS, I reinstalled the original lites and now the dome lites come on with the door open but I can't turn them on manually from the pushbutton switches. Can't be a fuse can it becuase the dome lites come on with entry. Could this be a fuse for the headliner ? Although I doubt it.

Any more ideas ?

Thanks

I found the problem with the interior lites, one of the tcm fuses blew. However after receiving interior bulbs form superlumination, the fun began. I have an 04 Tahoe to set things right. The front map lights with LED works fine. The passenger and rear map lites only light up half way. Swapped dome festoon bulbs same problem. Could there more resistance in the map lights than the dome lights ? I doubt it but why would the bulbs only light up at half power ?

Any one else had this problem ? Superlumination said to check for 12volts, the OEM bulbs work fine, so there's 12v at the socket.

Any ideas

Mike
