Sometimes I think a practice is perfectly fine, then I google it and I get a ton of crazy scary stuff!
I'm moving and I am hoping to put my mattress and/or boxspring (TWIN) on the roof rack of my tahoe.
I have read plenty of horror stories, but I would be legit about it and use at least 3 rachet straps.
I will be moving about 300 miles and pulling a horse trailer (with horse) and other belonging inside. Typically I drive 55- 60mph anyway with the horse. And my gas mileage is irrelevant, I usually get 10-12mpg towing the horse.
So- opinions on this? I probably have room for either the mattress or boxspring in the trailer. And I could cram both in- but it would be way more convenient to strap one on top.
