I need some new tires for my '02 Yukon. The size is 275/55/20, and my #1 priority is that they ride smooth and quiet. Handling is my second priority. Right now I have General Grabber UHP's, and they shake on the highway between 60-80mph, and that drives me nuts. I live in Texas, so don't care about snow performance. Would like to stay around $200/tire or lower.

So far, these are some possibilities. Anybody know anything about these three tires, or have another recommendation?

Yokohama Parada Spec-X
Toyo Proxes ST II
Nitto NT420S

Thanks!

When I had my Z-71 and needed tires I looked around on diferent forums and craigslist and actually found a set of 08' wheels and tires with 800 miles on them. I ended up getting them for $425 for all 4. When I traded in my Z-71 for my 04' Tahoe I put my old wheels and tires back on the Z-71 and sold the 08's.

I don't know if you considered this as an option, but may want to search around. As soon as I need new tires I will look again.
I have Michelin's LTX M/S on my Tahoe and really like them, (nice and quiet) and everyone who has had these tires I've talked to said they're great tires.

Just looked, a little pricey, but here they are anyway.

Thanks for the lead. But yeah, those Michelins might be a little out of my price range. I'm also looking at the Nitto NT 420S. Those seem to be getting some pretty good reviews. Guess I'll add them to the list.

Does the Nitto NT 420S come in 275/55/20 If they do it doesn't look like Discount tire has them.
Maybe another tire store has that size. Maybe Costco or Sam's has what you're looking for at a better price.

Edit: Never mind Costco and Sam's don't have much of a selection.

I went with the Nitto 420S, and should have them on Friday. I'll post an update with a review once I get some miles on them.

Pro Comp 275/55/20 and they're on sale right now at 4wheelparts. Call a local store and ask them what they run out the door, should be less than $200 a tire mounted and balanced. I have over 10k on mine and have NO complaints, some of the best tires I've ever had and they're made by cooper in the USA.
