Pass side mirrior does not defrost or dim??

My drivers side works great dims and defrosts, but the pass side does not.Is there a fuse to check?If so where is it? The power adjust still works fine though.Any thoughts????

The passenger side doesnt dim. It should defrost though.

If you have not owned it since new, someone may have replaced the glass with the less expensive one that does not have the defrost option. Pop it off and check the wires and make sure it even has the heater grid on the back.

Not all mirrors are defrost are they? I have an 04 LT and mine don't have the little heat waves on the mirrors. Are they defrost?

learn something new every day... i didnt know there was an option for defrosting side mirors... which model did this option come on?

It can be broken wires between the car and door. I have the same problem but haven't figured it out yet. The mirrors are expensive. The glass alone cost about $200. I'll check out ebay I guess.

Can we tell if it defrosts just by looking at it???

I assume we'll have to turn it on the front defrost and see if it heats up eh?

Im not sure but I think all Lt's came with heated mirrors. I assume most Z71 did also I dont know about Ls's. Most people probably dont know they have them since 2002 the took the symbols off of the mirror.

If you have them they would be attached to the rear defrost not the front.

While we're discussing mirrors. I need to know the GM part# for the passenger mirror. It has power adjust, heat, powerfold, no signal, no puddle, I don't know if it has dim but I guess not since 05yukon says no one does. Does anybody know if puddle light and turn signal will work just by replacing the mirrors or do I need new wiring as well?

why would all the mirriors dim but not the pass? That does not sound right.I have an 03 slt yukon. I know the drivers side defrost for sure, have had lots of snow this winter. Not sure what turns it on defrost or rear defrost though.all the other things work on it -all power including the power fold, it just does not dim or defrost. Was hoping it was a fuse.

The passenger mirror is further away from the driver so I guess it isn't really causing problems with light from cars behind you. I have auto-dim but not the right side mirror.

It's the rear window defroster control that activates the de-icing of the mirrors.
