Passenger side carpet wet and mildew under carpet protection on 2021 Tahoe Z71

Has anyone experienced this problem? I have installed the Chevy molded floor panel over the carpet. Taking out to clean found the carpet soaking wet and covered with mildew. Pulled carpet up and found water under the carpet. No wetness noticed above floorboard, just below carpet.
