Dumb question as I've never had to do this....

What is the weight limit on the roof rack? Going on a trip and thinking of putting luggage up there. I've never used the roof rack and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on this. I was not planning on using a luggage carrier.

Thanks

I hauled an extra heavy queen size mattress up there redneck style... took three people to heave it up there if that gives you any idea. Easily 100 pounds.

I think I read that it's 200#, which should be spread out as evenly as possible. And if it is spread out it might be able to handle a few # over.

Remember that there's no rub strips on the raised portions of the roof.
