Hey it looks like these wires got split by someone routing these incorrectly. I was just wondering if anyone knew if i should disconnect the battery or anything while i was putting them back together? any help appreciated!

Looks like it happened when the parking brake was set.

It doesn't seem to be affecting anything serious

Doesn't look like there is an immediate chassis ground or anything in the area to accidentally short it to, so you should be ok leaving the battery connected to save yourself from resetting your stereo, clock, etc., though disconnecting the battery is always safe practice. If you have the stuff, I'd strip it back some, solder and heat shrink. Double check all your fuses under the hood and in the passenger compartment just in case.

Yea as long as there aren't any sparks flying, solder that baby back together. I would probably push the wires up higher and wire tie them up outta the way so it doesn't happen again. JMO

That looks like a pretty good size wire not to be doing anything. You might try checking a haynes book on the truck or see if you can google a wiring schmatic. Those wires are there for something.

Multimeter on the points while pushing them down so it has current. See if it matches up to the measurements on known working ones.

Where were those wires? I've had intermittent issues with my rear driver's window...

ok i'll try to get around to that when i have some time.
But the wires were ran right above the parking brake, i'm not sure where they're supposed to be cause obviously they were out of place but, they're around that area and run to the purple plug.
