I just joined the forum. In my intro I mentioned wanting to drop a 455 into the engine space. A little more info...the 455 is a 1974 and is carbureted. I know the successful installs were done with the 454. I need to know the issue about not syncing with the ECM...does that open a can or worms for the tranny?
I've looked for a big block that was a fuelie with negative results. I'd like to hear what challenges you know that I would be facing by installing a retro engine.

Hey, thanks for your help!

You will need to keep the MAP sensor and the TPS somehow on a fuel injected truck, if it is newer than a 1995, you may need more......

SO? What year is your rig?
