Tallest?

What is the tallest 265/?r16 tire that can be placed on a stock 95 Yukon 4x4? I saw 305/75r16 is the biggest tire. But I'm trying to minimize the width, while maximizing the height so gas mileage is optimized.

The taller tires may actually lower your gas mileage unless all of your driving is highway. Highway mileage may go up a little, but in town driving will decrease your mileage significantly with the larger tire.

I want to ask similar question too, I'm needing tires sometime on a 99 z71. Can I go any wider but a smaller series so its the same height and no speedo recalibrate?

Whats the widest that fits on a stock 16x7 wheel and wont rub anything on a stock z71?

You can get a 275/70R16 it is 31.15x10.82 and the 265/75R16 is 31.64x10.42 so the 275 is shorter and not even an 1/2 wider.

I am running 285/75 r16, but they are pretty wide, probably to wide for what you are looking for, but in my opinion, they are the best looking tire size on the 4wd models.

I had 285/75/16 on my 2dr 96 Tahoe, but the fronts rubbed turning all the way,and driving on rough roads they would rub ,I went back to the stock size 265/75/16 .I currently have goodyear rt/s on the truck, but they look smaller then my set of 265/75/16 Pirelli scorps. why is that .
