Escalades, Diesel Trucks, Navigators, Denalis have them... except the Yukons/Tahoes, whats up with that...

i like the 4 speed way better than the 6 speed in my sierra, sorry i still need to post pics, been busy latly, notice i have not been on muchLOL, but the 6 speed hunts a little and shifts alot more, i like the simple 4 speed. i dont see enough wrong with it to worry about changeing it.

6 speed trans, not only Fuel economy but better acceleration :)

NAW, fuel economy aint a big deal, but i think the 4 speed is a little better because it has less shift points. it may just be my denali, but when i floor it, it seems to screw around for 5 seconds trying to find the right gear, and i have missed the passing point by then, this is about the same on the new acadia/enclave, except those received an update and now shift better, bur the 4 speed you floor and in 1 second your gone. the 6 speed may get their quicker once it gets going, but getting it to go takes time that the 4 speed makes up for 10 fold.

Hmm when I test drove the Escalade ( just to test it out ) couple months ago I didn't notice on hesitating during gear shift. I can tell you the worst gear shifting I experience was in a 6 speed BMW which its a whole different league there. Review from Consumer Guide on the Vette say the trans shift smoothly so I guess there's two sides on this whole thing. In my experience on the Esacalade, I notice better acceleration but I get your point on the 4 speed auto. As I said even though the Escalade is not my prefer vehicle I'd still hope GM put that 6 speed tranny ASAP

Mercedes has the 7 speed auto and since I have one, the transmission is so smooth you can't tell or feel when gears are shifting. Lexus has the 8 speed which I heard rumors on the other forums is not doing so well because of malfunctioning. I wonder when will GM will update their transmissions again but I dont think they need 7 or 8 gears, 6speed is fine.

The 3rd row seat need a strap to pull from the folded position to the upright position. I can't tell you how many times I got my pants dirty from touching the dirty wet back bumper (after rain) trying to pull up the seat backs. :(

I believe GM will go with the Independent rear suspension, that will allow the second & third row seats, to fold into the floor, because the floor level can be lower. I also believe we will see the 6-speed automatic transmission. These will be phased in over the next few years. I also believe we will see HID lighting.

How about a console shifter for the higher end models, so that I can have something to fiddle around with while going down the road? (I get bored easily) I dont care about fold flat seats. Even if I did have IRS, I would still want to be able to remove the seats for even MORE room. But I WOULD like to see the fold flat second row come back. And if not that, give me the ability to remove the second row completely. I would also like to see them drop the 4.8 liter engine, and make the 5.3 the base engine. If Ford can have the 5.4 for the base engine, then chevy should have something comperable.

i think manual adjustment of the sespension would be cool, like the vette and cadi's.

o yea HIDS

and i think that an option to have a video project out of the headlights would be cool. yes dreaming here, would be cool.

another thing that would be nice is being able to dial by touching the nav screen and the onstar system always messes up my numbers. really frustrating when in a hurry.

another nice feature would be heated and COOLED seats.
