Here's a pic of my old tahoe.

I'd absolutely love for GM to start making a 2dr model again.

Did you have to winch out or were you able to "drive" out of this soup?

:cool2:

If they came back with the 2 door I would be at the dealer waiting for them to open so I could be the first to get one. I never owned anything with 4 doors and wouldn’t if I could help it. When looking for a suv for my wife, we found 2 door models were extinct and we pretty much had to buy a 4 door. :mad2: I don’t care what it is, a 2 door model always looks better than the 4 door model. If someone can’t get in to my back seat, then they can go with someone else. :gy:

I just put my 99’ Sport 2 door for sale and will be interested to see how much trouble it will be to sell. I placed the ad right before I decided to wait for the 09’s, but the ad was already paid for so I’m in no big hurry to sell and can wait for a fair offer. Every day I wonder if I’m going to regret selling my 2 door since I know I can’t get a new one.

The 07’ Corvette sold over 40,000 units, not bad for a car that isn’t practical. If GM was always looking for big numbers and practically, can someone explain the SSR? Another mishap I think Chevy came up with is the HHR, what is it anyways? I think a 2 door Tahoe would sell better than a few other model’s GM makes now. I just wonder about GM and some of their decisions they make. :patriot:

I had to be winched out. Problem was I was in a canal, everything was going fine, but when I came up to get out of the canal, I wasn't straight and I was afraid I might flip over (was going pretty fast) so I let off the gas. Sunk in as soon as I did. If I'd hit the incline at a 90 degree angle I would of got out easily.

Amen brother! I couldn't agree more with everything you said here. I currently drive my 97 2-door Tahoe, and an 89 Honda Prelude, also a 2-door. I once owned a 4-door, but was unsure what the other two doors were for, lol.

If you want to be able to haul a lot of people around, get a Suburban. There's not that much difference between a 4-door Tahoe and a 'burban anyway, lol. I'm sure I'm going to take some heat for that statement.

Making the two door again, makes too much sense. I'm afraid that General Motors has "Dumb", they haven't used yet.

They won't do it, just because it is the right thing to do. :mad2:

Rack, that picture brings me back so many memories. I remember in 1979 I owned a Jeep Wagoneer, my buddies had a 2 door K5, a jeep CJ7 and a Range Rover. We would go out on weekends with our wives/girlfriends camping to remote beaches (no asphalt) and find mud swamps along the way. Challenge each other to cross them and that picture would repeat it self over and over again. Then we had to find a river to wash the trucks off. It was a great time.

I had two 2 door Bronco's. An 89 and a 92. They looked good but what a pain to get in and out of the back! I had more than one person almost fall on their faces trying to get out of the back of those.

When Chevy first introduced the 4 door Tahoe I thought "man oh man, that is the ugliest truck I've ever seen". The body was too long and the rear wheels were too far back. But, they grew on my over time and now I own one and I don't think I'd go back to a 2 dr.. IMO

yea, but we can always buy a suburban (we all know the 2 door tahoe is actully a suburban with out the rear doors) and then have a super custom shop like we see on TLC make it a 2-door. :D

2 dr Tahoe

I think that it should be an option. I have 2 of them a 92 as well as a 97 and the are great they turn on a dime.
Well I like the new style Tahoe and think it would look nice as a 2dr model.

It would not help the value of the existing n loved 2door but they would look pretty damn cool. I'd buy one if they made the top removable? Its my idea Chevy so give me the experimental model with all the goods please? Black on black is most preferred

They're bringing a new Tahoe in 2020, no? I swear I've read something like that not long ago. Don't remember where though.
