i have to agree, i think you should powder coat the aluminum part of the rims copper to match the rest of the rig... that would be the hot ****

Looks great man. Say, are those rear drums copper-fied as well? [What year did GM switch to 4-wheel discs, or did that depend on trim level?]

I really do love that copper color. If I ever had to re-paint my Denali or turned it into a "show" truck, I'd prolly go for a less-conventional color like that (monotone though), with a rich candy coating and lots of metal flake. Very cool.

I think for the rims I will be powder coating them completely black, and painting the center cap copper. Copper on the lip I think would be a bit too much. I was also thinking about maybe polishing the lip on the lathe, and clear powder coating the whole thing so I don't need to keep polishing. I then once I install the Borla dual side exhaust those two things would be the only things polished would look hot. If you look at the distance shot in my signature the lip looks good, up close not being polished take away from it I think. I just don't want the polished stainless exhaust to be the only thing polished on the truck once I put one on. Oh well, finishing my interior is priority one at the moment. Everything that can be covered in leather is being covered. New leather smell is the bomb!

No, actually just a little rust, haha, I need to pop them off and powder coat them black. My truck is 4 wheel disc, and an SLT. No idea about what others have. I will eventually upgrade to a brembo set up, some 6 piston calipers should stop the truck pretty quick.

I plan on taking it to a few shows once the interior is complete. Down here in Miami people don't mess around when it comes down to hooking up their rides. I wanted to blow even them away.

True. If you brought that to shows around where I live you would destroy them. And Brembos will look sick on that. Paint the calipers copper? :p

It has begun!

Last couple days I fiberglassed over the door panels to set up a nice smooth surface to mount the leather & plug up the hole for the handle. When I'm done every corner should be smooth as a baby's butt. Notice I covered over the map pocket in the front doors, and the holes for the interior lights. I will be installing a custom LED setup mounted on the very bottom of the panel. These things are F-ing solid, and the weight of them has maybe tripled. I will be dynamating the interior of the panel just for some good old fashioned over kill.

Here is the mock up of the center console button locations for the 4 doors, hatch & glass. I will be covering it leather, polishing the buttons, and I'm even building in a holster inside my center console for my concealed weapon. :D

No problem at all bro, if anything it'll help you learn what you'll want to buy later.
Haha, I'm starting a new movement, "Pay those tails forward" :D

I do actually like the look of these, just not the color, i am thinking about pulling the lens off, taping up the lights and painting the "carbon fiber" part black... kinda hoping to set things off with contrast. i thought about white but i think it will look dorkey like that

I got some new tweeters for the top of the door panels. They should look pretty sweet once I paint the lip of the plastic housing. I was thinking about painting it copper, but I think it would look better as gloss black next to the silver tweeter. I will be fiberglassing the arm rests, and painted copper, with a 8-10" section of a memory foam covered in black leather for the area someone will rest their elbow.

Still working on perfecting the door panels but I thought I'd add this to the thread...
Here is what prompted me to actually start working...
Some as*holes at 230pm!, while I was working, decided they liked my truck so much they would take it. These guys backed in 3 different times over the course of 5 mins according to my video footage. 1 to scope the area I assume, a second to pop the lock, and a third for the c*ckgobbler in the first picture to hop in, find my spare key, and pull away with his buddy. He's lucky I wasn't looking at the cameras or he would have a few more holes in his face then he actually wants. Our beloved police force took an hour and a half to respond to make the report. Then while I'm talking to the cop I get a phone call from our GM that is on his way home, and he has spoted my truck on the road. Long story short I'm doing 90 in my shop's dually down a 45 with a cop at my lead, ready for battle! Only to find he gave my GM the slip, dumped the truck and got away by the skin of his gold tooth.

and If your the one who stole it and happen to be reading this, I dare you to come back and get it! Oh and I still have the brain to the headunit you took, how’s that paper weight working out for you?

No no, This is the same truck before I started doing any custom work to the outside and painting it. Sorry If I wasn't clear...
I got it back right then and started shaving the handles the next week.

That was the "Here is what prompted me to start working" part, My Bad, sounded good in my head :D

I could see how a deadbeat stealing your ride would prompt you to make it even MORE desirable... hahaha... I came out to my truck a few weeks ago to find the definit outline of hands and a face (as if someone cuffed their hands around their face to see in the tinted glass).... needless to say that alone pissed me off! Good thing my truck stock inside. However, this prompted me to head to the local electronics warehouse and get an auto page... at least this way as soon as one of my many 'over sensitive' sensors goes off, i can always put a hollow point in there shin! (below the knee is not attempted murder or manslaghter lol)
