I've never done it on one of these, so I'm not sure. If I remember right, in the older trucks they were in the tank. Someone else might be able to chime in here and help out.
Anything is possible with enough work, but I doubt it would be very easy to do. If you look closely at that picture, the front fenders and doors don't look like they line up all that cleanly.
I personally like the HD and is what I'm putting on mine. I don't really care for cowl hoods on Tahoe's, but that's just me. These pictures are what sold me on the HD hood and is basically what mine will look like in the front, minus the chrome bar in the middle of the grill.

The 20" tire is less than a half an inch taller than the tire you currently are running. Assuming the rim is the proper offset, you won't have any problems.
