Good chance that plastic gearing in the mirror is broken. The plastic gears get brittle and effectively disintegrate with time.
The mirrors can be rebuilt more cost effectively than replacing with new if you’re willing to spend your time tackling the repair.

I have the same condition on my 2004 Avalanche Z71 4x4. The chirp (which sounds like it's coming form an electronic source) is often correlated with the release of the brake pedal - but not always.
Has anyone identified the source of the chirp and can share a solution?
There are tab(s) on the engine block that you can use to lift engine with the bottle jack. Search the web and you should be able to find a diagram that shows their location for reference.

Motor mounts in 2007 LTZ 5.3L are bad (driver side broken, passenger side worn - according to dealer).
I successfully replaced the driver's side mount (there was a lot of clearance to work on that mount) and now working on the passenger side (there is way less clearance to work on this side)...
