If the 02 Yukon is anything like the 00 Tahoe, the amp is behind the glove compartment.
I personally think that if you change the HU and speaker wires, you wouldn't really notice any difference. Now if you had an amplifier between the wires and HU, that'd be a different story, in my opinion.
I placed the same deck into my Tahoe but I didn't have the Bose system or the OnStar so my setup would be different. If it's anything like the Impala I had, you may need to relocate the stock stereo to keep the door chimes and OnStar functionality.

Does anyone know the power rating of the non-Bose factory amplifier? My deck puts out about 14 or so RMS watts per channel and I'm thinking of bypassing it but if the factory amp puts out the same power or more, I'll just keep using it.
