Thanks for the reply. I replaced the front driver/passenger door actuators. I still need to get to the rear/cargo door actuator. That PDL actuator is weak and needs to be replaced.
Thank you! Going to sell my other tires and rims that I replaced these with. Going to place in the for sale (if available) section. Will have pictures as well!
I used up about 1/2 a quart of ac delco autotrac 2 tranfer case fluid. The chain is still chattering some at idle.
I'll get some more info on this, hopefully this week. In the meantime, I'll make sure not to launch the tahoe...
Thanks for the input. I swear its the chain. Sounds loose.
Just got a quote of $5.77 a quart of autotrac 2 tranfer case fluid that exclusively has to go into the transfer case.
1999 Tahoe 4x4 5.7 auto: electronic transfer case selector
I've had my Tahoe now for 2 months+ and have heard a chain type rattle at the end of the transmission pan, next to the transfer case....
Thew tahoe has ran exceptionally well, and there has not been any problems.
Has anyone...
Yeah, they are off of an 08 chevy. Not sure if it was an LTZ, but the person who was selling them was buying some new rims/tires and lifting his truck. Look on craigslist. Thats where I found mine.
Sorry it took me so long to repost.
I unlocked it, and for all of you with "L O C" on your stock radio, I believe 2003 and older, here's the procedure I found from a very kind individual that I'm going to share with you.....FREE!
This procedure is FREE! There is no charge..... It worked...
Occasionally the passenger side front door lock would work. I'm at a loss for reasons on this. I've owned older GM pickups with essentially the same PDL's.
I ended up replacing the 2 front power lock modules with an extra set that I had.
I took off the door panel, and unscrewed about 8 screws from the skin with the power lock moduel. Pulled the skin outward some, lifted off the anchor, and unscrewed 3 screws from underneath the moduel. Along...
1999 Tahoe 4 door 4x4
The driver/passenger side power door locks are intermittently or not working at all. The drivers side PDL never responds when the switch is used, and the passenger occasinally works. The rear barn door does't work as well.
When I took the door panel off on the drivers...
1999 TAHOE
I had my tahoe on car stand for a few days while I was replacing the fuel pump. While it was on stands, it was also disconnected from the battery.
Putting it together yesterday, I read, "L O C" on the screen/menu.
Does anyone have experience with this?
I keep hearing that oem pumps are better. I just did call NAPA and they said that the non-RFI sending unit/pump is made by CARTER. Thats the same pump KRAGEN had as well for some $30 less.
Some so called "quick disconnect" are not very good.
Break off the plastic pieces of the send/return lines if you are going to replace the fuel pump/sending unit. Just make sure you break off enough plastic piece so it isn't such a pain to remove when you move the tank away.
